Our Mission.

Farpoint Farm’s philosophy is to provide quality individualized training, instruction and horse care presented in a safe, positive and encouraging environment.

Training and lessons are focused on the individual needs of each rider and horse. In the stables, owners and riders will learn about many aspects of horsemanship and care. On horseback, a combination of private, semi-private and group lessons create a well-rounded learning experience and fosters comradery amongst riders of all levels.

Most of all, we want to help riders develop the skills necessary to achieve their personal goals, whether riding for pleasure or sport. As an active show stable, a majority of the riders have their sights on competing at A-rated horse shows throughout the region.

Our History.

Farpoint Farm, Inc. has been a part of the Northwest horse community since 1994 and was founded upon the purchase of a private stables in Snohomish, Washington. Prior to starting her own training center, owner and head trainer, Denise Youell, has worked for and with many top trainers in the Pacific NW. Denise is continuously complementing her education by attending clinics with acclaimed professionals in the industry and she never tires of “learning more!”

A northwest native, Denise has ridden and cared for horses most of her life. She grew up on a small farm and learned horse keeping at an early age. As a junior, Denise competed successfully in the in hunter, jumper and equitation divisions. Towards the end of her junior years she also began riding in 3-day events and dressage competitions. Denise’s joy of the horse sports has encouraged her to learn about all aspects of equestrianism, from combined driving to mountain trail to sport horse breeding.

Denise has decades of experience and encourages clients to learn as much as they can both on and off the horse. Horses boarded at Farpoint are in a training/lesson program to help owners receive the guidance they need in all aspects of horse husbandry.
